This section logs the additions and improvements to the search engine, as well as other news and info about this web site.

Yea, we're still alive! The site has been going strong for most of 2007. Sorry for the lack of updates, it's been a pretty busy year! I'm planning to add the new Alex Jones sites to the search system, which is based on Google (along with some backup crawling done locally for anything that may be censored at Google). Support Ron Paul! Stay safe in 2008.

Massive overhaul to the search engine today. We are now using Google's API to search ALL the Alex Jones sites at once. Since they also allow developers to input additional information, it'll be searching our own records from crawls we do on the Alex sites. Just in case they get any ideas of nuking a story. Like them or not, Google has one of the best search technologies so lets take advantage of it, at least until something similar and better comes along.

Want to help support Search Infowars? Visit our new online store! We've got lots of great books by on-air guests and more. Please note that it's an Amazon affiliate shop, so you can support us by buying books, DVDs and anything else you'd like on there. If you're looking for Alex's documentaries, check the official Infowars Store at infowars.com.

Added a search option for the new site Dave Dion created as a companion to the Martial Law 911: Rise of the Police State film. The site is martiallaw911.info and worth a look, especially if you've seen the film. It's on all the search menus here.

If you like this free service and would like to help ensure it's survival for the long haul, please consider dropping a donation into the tip jar. Every little bit helps and it goes towards covering monthly hosting and bandwidth charges.

I considered going the text advertising route, but with some of the text sponsor services, you never know if someone will buy an ad and target specific anti-Alex ads to appear on this site without my knowledge. I think donations are the safest way to go for now.

Make payments with PayPal - it's fast, free and secure!

The current donation option is through PayPal. Hopefully more will be added in the future as I look around and see what others are available. Thanks to everyone who has supported and used this site since its creation last July. - Joe

Happy belated 2005 everyone. Looks like it's going to be another rough one. Hang in there and keep spreading truth.

Some adjustments to the engine were made to capture more keywords on the pages at all the sites. This should help produce even better results and keyword matches.

Added a search option for the revamped infowars.net site. You can currently find it on the pulldown menus and at the bottom of the infowars.com search. Not many original articles there yet, but I'm sure it'll grow over time. Right now it's probably best for finding new articles that are also on the other sites but are hard to find with keywords that produce too many results.

Some updates to the script will be available in the coming weeks. They should produce more detailed results and also speed up the overall performance of the search. Thanks again to everyone using this thing. It was getting nearly 1000 searches a day last I checked. If I can find a way to filter out profanity, I'll put up a live page that displays keywords visitors are searching for. It's on the to-do list.

Added an External search option to the search results bar. Having trouble finding something here? Transfer your search terms to other sites like Google (web sites and news), Yahoo (web sites and news) and the great phaseiii.org with a single click.

The site has been running over a month now and so far so good. A special welcome to all visitors that have been coming from the search boxes on Prison Planet, Propaganda Matrix, Infowars and any other web site that was nice enough to link here. Thanks for all the feedback and kind words about the site. :)

Syndicated banner letting you know when the Alex Jones show is on and off the air was added to the main page. Click it when it says he's on the air to listen live through the net. This is handy for those of you in different time zones. Thanks PhaseIII.org

A new 30 second video clip is on the main page of the site. Something I accidentally caught on History Channel a couple weeks back about RFID tags. The show was called Tactical To Practical and I believe the episode was about technology that is/was used in the military and is now making it's way over to the consumer side of things. Look out.

An option to search Paul Joseph Watson's propagandamatrix.com site is now available. That adds about 3000 more links to the search database! Hopefully you'll be able to find whatever information you're looking for on at least one of these sites.

The search all sites at once (combined) option is still available in the menus but there is a short lag at times (usually 10-15 seconds) while it scans thousands upon thousands of words in all databases and attempts to sort the best matches for you. This should be improved in the coming weeks. Until then, it's best to search each site individually. To make this easier, you can switch your search to other sites on the list with one click by using the links at the bottom of all search results (see screenshot below). Of course if 10-15 seconds (depending on what keywords are searched) to scan all sites doesn't bother you, then keep using it. :) Maybe I'm just a speed freak.

Lots of questions related to how this site was created/what is used/etc coming in through the feedback form, so I'll answer that here. I use Dreamweaver MX 2004 for HTML coding, Swish for the subtle Flash effects and Paint Shop Pro 8 for graphics. The search engine is PHP based with a SQL backend for each site.

The web search section at the bottom of the main page has been updated. The Google and Yahoo boxes have been replaced with a pull down menu containing various search options. The default is myway.com, which lets you search for something and flip through results from Google, Yahoo, LookSmart and Ask Jeeves. It's a great looking site. Very clean and easy to use with no ads or popups. I might have a new favorite search engine :) Options to search the engines at phaseiii.org and whatreallyhappened.com are also available on the menu. The whatreallyhappened.com option produces great results, especially for headlines, but it's very slow. Prepare to wait about 30 seconds or so. There's nothing I can do about it since you're searching the engine on that server.

HTML codes for search boxes and stuff are now available. If you've got a web site and would like to link to this site or have your visitors search this engine directly from your site, here you go:

Added some video clips to the main page of the site. Available right now is Alex Jones' Waking Life rant, a clip I captured last night on ABC News about microchips, Diebold vote fraud humor from the Daily Show, and an animated NOFX Video. Right-click and save them if you want to keep them, as they'll probably be rotated/replaced in the future with other clips.

Another day, another tweak. There is now a drop down box which allows you to select which site you'd like to search right off the bat.

Before:

After:

It uses javascript though, so that function of your browser will need to be enabled. It's on by default is just about all browsers, so most users should have no problems. However, I know some libraries and users disable javascript to try and avoid intrusive internet ads like popups. If nothing happens or you get an error message when you hit the search button, use the links to the individual engines under the search box on the main page.

Have I mentioned that this site is a work in progress? :)

The free content (articles, analysis, news, etc) at prisonplanet.tv was added to the database and is now appearing in the search results. Be sure to get a membership there if you really want to experience that site in it's full glory. You can watch/download all of Alex's documentary films online, along with the new Great Illusion film by George Humphrey, Painful Deceptions by Eric Hufschmid and more in pretty good quality. There are also weekly video reports from Alex's show in Austin. Not bad for $5.95 a month.

New search options were added early this morning. Insomnia can be a good thing sometimes. You can now search the individual sites by clicking infowars.com, prisonplanet.com and prisonplanet.tv links on the main page under the search box or at the top of the search results. This should help narrow things down even more if the default Network Search (which searches all 3 sites at once) produces too many results. At the moment, prisonplanet.com seems to be producing the best results for keywords I've tested. I am considering making it the default search option on the site if the ideas I have to optimize the default 3-In-One search don't work.

Update on that last update: Links to search the individual sites now appear at the bottom of all results. Click them to filter your results or search the same terms without having to type in keywords again.

Before:

After:

Some great quotes were added on pages around the site (look up). Reloading the page should change it as they're on a script that rotates them randomly. If you know any good quotes similar to the ones currently being shown, send them through the feedback form and they'll be considered for rotation.
